Have you ever considered delving into the agendas that are relevant for the Global South through the perspective of Brazilian authorities and experts? The “Voices of BRICS” web series promotes an encompassing look over the various themes addressed by the group’s Brazilian Presidency. With new episodes released on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the theme “Strengthening Global South Cooperation for a More Inclusive and Sustainable Governance” will guide the steps of each interview, offering in-depth insights into the priorities of the Brazilian Presidency.

With multilateralism and cooperation as guiding principles, “Voices of BRICS” takes the audience through topics that directly impact their lives —from health and trade to energy, international cooperation, and security. In the debut episode, BRICS Sherpa Ambassador Mauricio Lyrio highlights the importance of collaboration among member countries. “It is crucial to have this coordination and cooperation so these nations can share positive initiatives and deepen their partnerships, fostering more robust development,” Lyrio explains.

Among the next guests are Brasil’s National Youth Secretary, Ronald Sorriso; the head of the International Advisory to the General Secretariat, Gustavo Westmann; advisor to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Mariana Espécie; and Ambassador Tatiana Rosito, coordinator of the BRICS finance track. These interviewees will share insights on the future of sustainable development and global governance in exclusive interviews available on the BRICS website, highlighting how Brasil’s Presidency has been shaping agendas to strengthen international cooperation.
