Distribution of credentials for journalists accredited to cover the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum begins on June 2
Credentials will be distributed to accredited professionals through June 5

The Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate inform accredited members of the press covering the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum that credentials will be available for pickup on June 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on June 3, 4, and 5, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Press Accreditation Room (Secom), located at the Annex II entrance of the Senate (access via N2 Avenue).
Credentials may be picked up individually upon presentation of valid identification. Media outlets may also designate a representative, duly identified by the company, to collect all credentials on behalf of the team.
Event Access
During the Parliamentary Forum, press access will be through the Senate’s Annex II entrance, during the following hours:
- June 3 (Tuesday): from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Deadline for positioning in the press area at the White Hall – to capture images of arriving authorities: by 8:30 a.m.
- June 4 (Wednesday): from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Deadline for positioning in the press area on the balcony of the Black Hall – to capture images of arriving authorities: by 8:30 a.m.
- June 5 (Thursday): from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On all days of the event, members of the press may remain in the National Congress building until 10 p.m. to complete their reporting for the day.
Security barriers will be in place during the passage of official delegations.
Connectivity
Accredited members of the press will have access to the following Wi-Fi networks. BRICS_Press: available to all accredited journalists, requiring login with the same credentials used for registration in the BRICS system. CD_Visitante: accessible upon providing name, phone number, and CPF (for Brazilian nationals) or name and passport number (for foreign nationals). Private networks: individual networks used by professionals will not be blocked. TV broadcasters may use the CD_EMISSORASTV network for mobile transmission units (mochilinks).
Work Areas
Members of the press will have access to several designated areas for event coverage, including:
- the ramp and balcony of the National Congress building;
- the White Hall (Chapelaria) and Black Hall;
- the Green Hall, where a large screen will broadcast the event, along with space for live reports, press conferences, and content production;
- the gallery of the Senate plenary floors;
- the Press Rooms of both the Chamber and the Senate;
- Room 6 of the Nilo Coelho Wing in the Senate, where the event will also be broadcast;
- and Praça das Abelhas [area in front of the Teotônio Vilela and Tancredo Neves wings of the Senate, traditionally used also for press conferences and official statements], in the Senate, also prepared for live reports, press conferences, and content production.
There will be an opening for images capture in the plenaries 1 and 2 of Deputy Antonio Mariz Wing in the Chamber of Deputies.
Interviews
In accordance with prior agreements made with the attending delegations, direct approaches to parliamentarians should be avoided. Interview requests must be made in advance through the event’s Press Office by email at press.brics@cn.leg.br or via the phone numbers listed below.
General Guidelines
- Food: Self-service snack machines will be available in the Senate Library Hall (Annex II) and in the barbershop hall (Main Building, basement). The Senators’ Restaurant (Annex II entrance) will also be open.
- Dress code: Men are required to wear a suit and tie. Photographers must wear a dress shirt, tie, and vest.
- Security: There will be no restrictions on bringing bags or equipment into the National Congress. However, all individuals and belongings will be subject to security screening, including metal detectors and X-ray machines, and may also undergo physical inspection if necessary.
- Credentials are personal and non-transferable. Misuse may result in revocation, removal of the holder from the premises of the National Congress, and potential civil and criminal liability.
